Story
Hi, this is the first time I have created my very own fundraising appeal for charity. Please support my efforts to help change the lives of children and families living in poverty in both New Zealand and overseas. I have set myself a goal to raise $500 and I need your help with a donation big or small.
My love of running started in my mid twenties when as a new Mum I found a sport that I could do at my own pace (very slow at first) and one that nourished my mind, body and soul. Over the years through lots of blisters, sweat & (muscle) tears, I have been lucky enough to train and run in many stunning locations in both New Zealand and around the world. I share my love of running with my husband Simon, who is often my training companion and who leaves me for dust at most events!
I have also had the honour and privilege to meet fellow runners that have shared their running journeys with me on how running literally "saved" them - from mental illness, addiction, depression, eating disorders, abusive relationships and more.
